About the procedure
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is an incredibly effective hair loss treatment using a small vial of the patient’s blood. Because blood is composed of red cells, white cells, and platelets, we isolate the plasma, which contains a concentration of plasma and rich growth factors that help stimulate new, and healthy tissue growth. Because the treatment uses the patient’s own blood, there is virtually no risk the patient will experience an allergic reaction.
Platelets are the cells in the blood that help tissue to heal and grow new cells. The Platelet Rich Plasma activates the stem cells that lie dormant in the skin of the scalp through certain growth factors found in the platelets. PRP Injections works as hair restoration by stimulating the hair follicle’s causing growth and inducing microtrauma to the dermis that jump starts healing and growth repairing cells. PRP Treatment is both recommended to prevent further hair loss and re-stimulate hair growth in dormant hair follicles as a medical therapy for hair loss without surgery.
Prior to the procedure taking place, you will receive a complimentary consultation, we will go through your medical history, find out what aesthetic look you are looking for, if the procedure is right for you and address any concerns you may have.
- Procedure Length: 40-50 minutes
- Downtime: Can return to daily activities right after
- Possible side effects may include temporary redness, bruising and swelling at the site of injection.

It is recommended to repeat the treatments every year in order to maintain healthy scalp skin that will in turn simulate hair follicles to continue to grow.
The goal of PRP Hair Loss treatment is both to prevent further hair loss and re-stimulate hair growth in dormant hair follicles as a medical therapy for hair loss without surgery. Unlike other treatments at The Beauty House, the results are not instant and will only begin to show 2-3 months after the treatment session and continue to improve with time. Two to three treatment sessions are generally recommended, spaced 2-3 months apart, to achieve the best outcome.
